I purchased this card to replace my burned-out ATI 3850 512MB video card. I had a friend that planned on trying crossfire and had an extra card but was waiting on a dual pci-e mobo, so he lent me a XFX ATI 4670 1GB DDR2 card for a while, I wasn't impressed at all with the card he loaned me, so I picked up this card at a great price. Drivers went in like a charm, and then I went to overclocking! I knew with the card not requiring an extra power supply (just getting its power from the pci-e slot) I wouldn't be able to raise the vcore up much higher, and my theory was correct the bios only allowed an additional .1 raise. Anyways, I was astonished what this lil card could overclock. I was able to get a stable 675MHz on the core, 1775Mhz on the shadier, and 1850Mhz on the memory, which in my opinion is a great overclock and I am getting GTS 250+ results now. Every game I have thrown at it at 1360x768 (720p+) with 4AA/16AF is averaging 40-60 fps. Only game that is at around 25+ is crysis warhead (which any puter will struggle with that game with a sub -$100 card). I highly recommend this card to any gamer, HTPC owner and computer enthusiast who likes to tinker with their hardware to max out performance because this card is easy to tweak with just evga's over clocking software, and even flashing the bios on this card is so easy. To pay $80 and get nvidia's next level card performance is a no brainer! 550/1340/700 speeds to 675/1750/825 shows a great 15+ fps improvement. DvD playback is silk smooth as well. Ideal card for people with 300w power supplies as well.

I upgraded a HP pavillon to windows 7 with more ram and this video card.
It is affordable and works great. Not suited for high end gamers.
But it works great for Blueray movies and all other standard applications.

I had the GeForce 6800 but received the Blue Screen of Death after a few months of using Windows 7. I tried updating the driver but to no avail. Then I bought this card because it said that it was compatible with Windows 7. I am happy to say that it has fixed my computer (No BSoD!) and it can handle my video editing a lot better as well (I have been doing HD editing)! It has been a breathe of fresh air. I definitely recommend.

Having some issues with cheaper video cards in the past, I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing this one, but I am totally pleased with it. I use my computer mostly for playing WoW, Spore, Warhammer online, and Civ 4 and I am able to run everything at maximum graphics with no problems. My computer has an AMD Phenom Quad-core processor with 8GB RAM and a 22" HP Widescreen HD monitor and there has been no conflicts. I did experience one time about a month into using it where Microsoft update installed an updated driver and that caused issues, so I rolled back to the driver that came with the product and haven't had a problem since, so don't update unless you are experiencing problems. There is no noise from the fan, no glitches on the screen or the sound, and there is almost no extra heat. Watching DVD's or Netflix Instant movies is much better now, with netflix not being blocky or jumpy at all. Very clear picture and sound. Very pleased, and a very good value for the price.
