Don't invest the money July 19, 2010 cathleen (chicago) I love music and was satisfied at what these speakers delivered for the cost. Unfortunately, they only lasted a few months and then developed a loud buzz. I expected much more than that out of them. I won't risk investing in another product by this vendor.
Not Bad June 4, 2010 Steelstump93 (OR) The multi directional idea is a good one and seemed to work well. The problem I had was that the sound was underwhelming. Not nearly full enough. My guess is that the sound quality (fullness) was on par with a $10-$15 pair. You are realy only paying for the multidirectional feature. For my needs I'd rather have the better sound. The speakers are also heavy, so I wouldn't consider them travel worthy. I've returned these and will try a similar priced 2.1 system to see if the sub will give the fullness I'm looking for.
Good god what awful crap March 14, 2010 Lane D. (SF Bay Area, CA) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
These speakers first off sound awful, thin and tinny. Secondly, the speaker system I bought (at Office Depot) had shorts in the (very thin) cables that accompany it. To make matters worse the audio out cable can't be replaced because it's physically attached to the back of the left speaker. In all, save yourself a trip back to the store and get something else.
BLeck. March 6, 2010 L. Perry (Tennessee) These were a gift and they are just getting on my nerves right now. I just hooked them up to my Macbook, and I think they are stinkery. There is no way to control anything about the sound than the volume itself. The volume is actually quite good. But the sound is...disappointing. I feel like there's a pillow in front of them. It's just...odd sounding. Not awful, but not at all pristine. If you want something that sounds really nice keep shopping. If average is okay, these'll work, I suppose. But, I don't at all think they are worth their suggested retail ($70).
Great Speakers, Great sound. And they look real good. February 11, 2010 Will.I.Am (Florida) No Tone controls (treble and bass controls), but all PC / MAC Media Players have a built in Equalizer or do as I did and use the free DFx Audio Enhancers Products.
