 WILL NOT INSTALL ON WINDOWS 7 64 BIT September 8, 2010

I purchased Roxio Creator 11 Pro and it will not install on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on a quad core machine with full ram.
I tried Roxio help and they could not find the problem. They sent the problem on to the next tier of help experts and they came back with a couple of suggestions. After making the changes, the software still will not install. It has an error message it will not be installed on Windows 7 32 bit or 64 bit as well as other operating systems.
After multiple tries, I am ready to TRY go get my money back (Good Luck!)

I have had previous versions of Roxio - the last one that was allegedly Vista certified (and wasn't) was going to be the absolute last one that I bought. I was wrong - I had to buy a standalone copy for work. The machine was brand new, had well above the minimum RAM and processing speed, and the normal Roxio "bomb" or slow down places are still there, sometimes worse.
If you are happy with your previous versions of Roxio, DO NOT upgrade as there is no benefit I can see.

I'm writing this reveiw only to warn away other prospective buyers, don't get it!!
I had used previous version of Roxio without problem so when I upgraded to Windows 7, I decided to buy their best package, Creator 2010 Pro. Its been nothing but problems ever since. Nothing works and when I call my "free" technical support, no one answers.
As I type this, I have been waiting 31 minutes for the "next available support engineer to assist" me. I'm not exaggerating, I've timed it.
This is the biggest waste of money I've ever experienced in a software package. DO NOT BUY!

I too used to be a Roxio fan. It was approx 9 or 10 years ago when I first purchased Roxio software in connection with a Dell PC purchase. For several years I had created several DVD's from both picture and home video clips. It was easy to use and even had lots of sound clips for free as part of the software.
However, with PC upgrades over the years, the old software became obsolete and could no longer recognize my DVD burner. I upgraded to Roxio Creator Pro 2010 which was a complete and utter waste of time and money. It simply would not work with Window's 7. After hours/days of troubleshooting (following exactly the instructions from Roxio Tech staff), I decided its finally time to say goodbye! It got to the point where the technical support was instructing me to do things that they asked me to do when I first opened a help ticket. Their advise became circular.
Finally, I asked for a full refund and only got about 85% of the full purchase price back without explanation (adding insult to injury). I never even got the software to work and they couldn't even give me a full refund.
Buyer beware. If you have a newer upper end PC with Window's 7 Home please beware. There is a good reason this product only has an aggregate rating of 2+ stars.

This is without a doubt the worst piece of software I've ever seen. I bought the download version, but have been unable to download it in over 20 tries. Their online support is virtually useless, as they keep repeating the same thing as if you were an idiot. I can safely say that Roxio will get no more of my money; but where can you find another program? I can't seem to, even though I'm only interested in audio.
